Some of our clients are looking for consultations and plastics engineering services. Others need injection molding or metal-to-plastic conversions. Yet you may need more service involvement from your plastics engineering team, especially if you are introducing new product lines in your manufacturing company. To get the job done right, you want a trusted thermoplastic engineering firm to handle all the details from sourcing plastic materials to final plastic assembly.
Here at IVP Plastics, we can provide full turnkey support with the management of purchased components, assembly, testing, and product validation. With this enhanced support, we provide customers with increased value and efficiencies.
When our customer’s volume increased to the point that manual machine setup and assembly of inserts became inefficient, IVP, along with a local technology integrator, designed and built a six station automatic insertion robotic cell. Two robots moved the product through each station until completion. The robot indexed the part so the client's camera inspection could perform a verification process to check each surface to ensure each insert was present. This automation project resulted in increased throughput, labor, and setup reduction. It also provided significant quality improvements during this important stage when previous processes could not meet increasing demand.
Examples of value-added services and capabilities include:
- Multiple component assembly
- Sonic welding
- Thermal riveting
- Thermal insertion
- Adhesive bonding
- Post-mold insertion
- Kitting and custom packaging
IVP offers more than parts. We offer full-service consultation, project design and plastic engineering, material sourcing, rapid prototyping, injection molding processes, and quality assurance testing. These turnkey solutions can offer your manufacturing company immense benefits.
